The Rainbow Surf Hostel is a Plantation Home built in 1932. It’s Home. We offer private rooms, three with a private porch and four person dorms all have been remolded and upgraded. We offer two Kitchens and two common areas. Our out door area is known as the Volcano Room with soft lights and a music system for your iphone (you can look up and see Haleakala above you). We have BBQ’s and surf Movie night in the Volcano room, free wifi, parking, Pineapple pancake Day and Hawaiian Grog night. Free surfboards mask and fins and body boards. All this and we are only two blocks from the ocean, Paia beach, Baldwin beach just down the hill, Ho’okipa two miles down the road, and the world famous big waves at Peahi (Jaws) three miles away. We are happy to announce we will offer free Van tours starting in June.

Travelers Have voted Maui the “Best Island in the World” for an unprecedented 17 times. Once you are here, you too will understand why. From 11 different micro climates with the highlight being the house of the Sun, Haleakala Crater, Maui has been coined “The Magic Isle”. The North side of Maui is the tropical side and the very best part. The magic begins at the Haleakala Volcano at Sunrise and continues on to the road to Hana entering a tropical wonderland with beautiful waterfalls, over sized flowers, a bamboo forest to hike through, and of course the Seven Sacred Pools and Red Sand Beach to enjoy. Paia is the start of it all. This once plantation town is now a world famous surfing and windsurfing spot. This little bohemian town offers wonderful cafe’s and shops and is mostly known for its old Hawaiian Aloha Spirit.
